The Archer report on Haemophiliacs allegedly infected with HIV (available here), as expected, completely misses the point. It clings to the notion that haemophiliacs actually were infected with HIV, and were not being made ill by the staggeringly impure Factor VIII itself before AZT came out, and were then slaughtered almost wholesale when given AZT in doses that now nobody disputes to be cumulatively lethal. In response, HEAL London, The Immunity Resource Foundation and Alex Verney-Elliot have responded to it with the following letter:
In 2006, Libya was the scene of the re-trial of the foreign medics who were all accused of deliberately infecting 426 Libyan children with HIV. Mike Hersee of HEAL London was invited to assist the defence with the trial. Sadly, it didn't work out as intended. I wrote an article about the experience that was first published in Hot Wild and Free (http://www.hot-wild-and-free.co.uk/), and you can reach that version by selecting the link, then selecting archives, then select the CONFLICTED issue (no 2), then select 'Liberated in Libya?'
The article was understandably edited, and in particular some technical details were left out. Below is the original article as submitted.
An adult film performer who was diagnosed HIV positive causing the whole porn industry to shut down in California has now re-tested and been diagnosed HIV negative. The multi-billion dollar industry can now breathe a huge sigh of relief and resume production. Another porn performer was diagnosed HIV positive late in 2010. Derrick Burts left the porn industry and became an advocate for the use of condoms in pornography. But these two stories ought to be thought-provoking for two reasons.
